“This group captures a down-home sound...the vocals ride along the swinging country
rhythm of the string instruments. It's like Gypsy Jazz immigrated to Western
North Carolina in the late 40's. Well Done.”
* Mark Bordenet, Brooklyn, NY
“Appalachian Still makes [this] European feel like an American, what a great achievement!”

February, 27 2010 09:00 PM - The Rendezvous
78 3rd Street, Turners Falls, Massachusetts 01376 -$5.00
Description:From "Yelp.com": The Rendezvous was born out of a
local watering hole that is one of the oldest in the state. Resurrected
into a moderately-priced pub/restaurant with lots of soul, comfortable seating
and big windows, the Voo, as it is locally known, pays tribute to its history
while integrating a vast array of traditional and eclectic victuals and
libations, music and performances. There is something for everyone here,
at almost any time of day or night. And there’s ample outdoor seating to
boot. Make this a dinner destination while on your day trip to Western Mass
from Boston, or make it a regular haunt if you live in the Pioneer Valley.
It is well worth the drive either way. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable
staff. Home-stocked juke box. Free parking in the adjacent lot. Located
right in the center of Turners Falls, just across the river from Route 2.
